When I was raising my son, I knew he was brilliant—but I also knew the world didn’t always know how to support brains like his. It wasn’t until much later that I discovered I also have ADHD. Suddenly, so many of my own childhood memories made sense: the intense feelings, the racing thoughts, the disappearing when overwhelmed. I wasn’t “too much” or “unfocused”—I was neurodivergent.
And I wasn’t alone.
Now, as an educator and advocate, I meet so many parents—especially mothers—who are raising tween girls that feel everything deeply, forget instructions mid-sentence, or shut down when something feels “too big.” Often these girls are misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or missed altogether because ADHD doesn’t always look the same in girls as it does in boys.
That’s why I created the ADHD Support Toolkit for Parents of Tween Girls.
This free toolkit is grounded in:
- My lived experience as a neurodivergent woman
- My journey as a parent who had to learn without a roadmap
- My decades as a professor guiding students with invisible differences
You’ll find simple, practical strategies that build connection, boost confidence, and give your daughter (and you) permission to do things differently.
What’s Inside the Toolkit:
✔️ How to use color zones to name big emotions
✔️ The power of body doubling (and why it works)
✔️ How to use visuals, routines, and timers for calm—not control
✔️ Encouraging self-advocacy scripts for your daughter
✔️ A bonus page written just for her
✔️ Curated ADHD resources, podcasts, and printable guides
💬 A Note from One Big-Hearted Brain to Another:
You don’t have to be perfect—just present.
And your daughter isn’t broken. Her brain is powerful, beautiful, and worthy of understanding.
